What's the difference between tequila and mezcal?

Although both are made from agave, tequila can only be produced using Blue Weber agave in designated regions, while mezcal can be crafted from more than 40 different agave varieties across several Mexican states. Traditional mezcal is often roasted in underground earthen pits, creating its signature complexity and, in some cases, a smoky character. During the tasting, you'll discover that mezcal offers a wide range of flavors far beyond smoke.

Why choose The Tasting Room for a mezcal tasting?

Unlike simply ordering a pour at a bar, The Tasting Room offers a curated educational experience where every spirit has been carefully selected. You'll taste exceptional artisanal mezcals while learning the stories behind the producers, the traditions of mezcal-making, and the cultural importance of agave in Mexico. It's a premium experience designed for travelers who want to gain a true appreciation for one of Mexico's most iconic spirit!
