Public Tour Cancellation Policy

We understand that travel plans can change, and we do our best to provide flexibility for our guests. We have a 24 hour hassle free cancellation policy for either a gift certificate with no expiration or a full refund.

Public tour bookings may be:

-Rescheduled to another available date even 1 hour before the tour.

-Changed to a different tour

-Converted into a gift certificate with no expiration

-If within 24 hours before your tour we offer a hassle free refund policy

Changes can be made up to 1 hour prior to your scheduled tour start time, subject to availability. A full refund may be extended if notified 24 hours in advance.

Please note:

-Refunds are not provided for no-shows or missed tours.

-Requests for changes or cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.

-Tour guides cannot wait for late arrivals, so guests should arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

Weather Policy

Tours operate rain or shine, including during hot or humid weather conditions. Guests are responsible for dressing appropriately and prioritizing their own comfort and safety.

If Vallarta Food Tours must cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances, guests will receive a full refund.

Dietary Restrictions

We are often able to accommodate dietary restrictions or food allergies with advance notice. Please inform us at the time of booking or as early as possible prior to your tour.

While we do our best to coordinate substitutions, not all tasting locations can guarantee accommodations for every dietary need.

Liability

Vallarta Food Tours acts solely as an agent in arranging tour experiences, restaurant visits, transportation, and related services. We are not responsible for injuries, accidents, delays, loss, or damages caused by third-party vendors, venues, transportation providers, restaurants, or other participants.

Guests participate voluntarily and accept responsibility for their own safety throughout the experience.

Photography & Media Release

By participating in a Vallarta Food Tours experience, guests grant permission for photographs and videos taken during tours to be used for promotional, marketing, and advertising purposes across digital and print media without compensation.

Private Tour Payment & Cancellation Policy

To reserve a private tour date and time with Vallarta Food Tours, payment terms are based on how far in advance the booking is made.

  • Private tours booked more than 15 days before the tour date require a 50% refundable deposit to secure the requested date, time slot, and tour guide(s). The deposit will be applied toward the final balance.

  • Private tours booked within 15 days of the tour date require full payment at the time of booking.

Private tours are not confirmed until payment or deposit has been received.

Final Guest Count & Payment

Please confirm your final guest count at least 15 days prior to the tour date. Final invoices will be adjusted based on the confirmed number of guests.

Private tours require a minimum of 6 guests. Groups with fewer than 6 guests are subject to a $45 surcharge, plus gratuities.

Private Tour Cancellation Terms

All cancellations or changes must be submitted in writing via email.

  • Cancellations made 7 days or more before the scheduled private tour date is eligible for a full refund and will not be charged the remaining balance beyond the initial deposit.

  • No refunds or reschedules are provided for same-day cancellations or no-shows.

Can I change the date of my tour?

Yes! If you contact us at least 24 hours before your tour, we'll do our best to move your reservation to another available date at no additional charge.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

We offer a hassle free cancellation policy. You can cancel most public tours up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the tour are non-refundable, as we reserve space specifically for you. We offer a hassle free 24 hour cancellation policy!

What happens if I miss my tour?

Unfortunately, no-shows and guests who arrive after the tour has departed are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling. We recommend arriving 15–20 minutes early to ensure a smooth check-in.

What happens if Vallarta Food Tours cancels a tour?

In the rare event that we need to cancel a tour due to weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances, you'll have the option to receive a full refund or transfer your booking to another available date.

Are private tours refundable?

Private tours have a different cancellation policy than public tours. Please refer to your booking confirmation for the specific terms, as they may require additional notice due to vendor and guide commitments.

What if my flight is delayed?

We understand travel plans can change. If your flight is delayed, contact us as soon as possible. While we cannot guarantee a refund or reschedule for last-minute changes, we'll always do our best to find a solution when possible.

Can someone else use my reservation?

Yes! If you're unable to attend, you may transfer your reservation to another person. Just let us know before the tour so we can update the guest information.

How long do refunds take?

Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or credit card provider.

What happens if it rains?

Our tours operate rain or shine. Puerto Vallarta's tropical weather is part of the experience, and most stops provide cover. If severe weather creates unsafe conditions, we'll contact guests with available options..

How do I cancel or modify my reservation?

The fastest way is to reply to your booking confirmation email or contact our office. Please include your name and booking number so we can assist you as quickly as possible via email or you can also reach at our offices at US 678 778 5928 and MX 322 222 6117.
