We will only have one day in Puerto Vallarta. Do you recommend the evening Street tour or the Downtown tour? Which tour provides the best overview of Puerto Vallarta culture and attractions?
All tours are great and different from each other. We do have more information and architecture in our downtown tour.
I am a vegetarian, who happens to eat fish. Would the Pitillal tour be difficult to accomodate to my diet?
It is more difficult than our downtown tour. We definitely can but we would substitute three out of the seven tastings.
Downtown and Pitillal has many different dishes and the Street is mostly tacos at night.
Two of us will be there on a cruise for one day. Naturally, that appears to be the one day you are closed. Do you accommodate any kind of special private tours for your off days?
Yes! If you send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org we can accommodate with no additional charge to you. Enjoy your cruise of the Mexican Riviera!
It’s not walking distance but its a short cab or bus ride. It would take about 15 minutes.
Yes. It can be a challenge because of the streets of Vallarta but we are happy to have you guys on our tour!
Absolutely. We have had private groups up to 24. Our policy is that for groups over eight we will have two guides and, if more than 20, we will join the tour as well to ensure a great experience. If you need for us to give you a private link for a private tour, you can email us email@example.com.
Yes, we do offer discounts for multiple tours. After you book the first tour let us know of your interest and we will send you a coupon code for the second.
We want our guests to have a great time on their vacation. If something comes up we will give a full refund if we are contacted 48 hours before the tour. Even then, if someone is ill before the tour we will also give a full refund even at the last minute. We want our guests to have no worries!
We have yet to have someone take both in the same day and we wouldn’t recommend it. Many of our guests in the daytime tour are not hungry until the next day. There is a lot of food in each tour.
Absolutely! There is only one stop with seafood and we can substitute in another tasting.
What’s the maximum number of people you can take on private tours? And how long have you been doing this tour?
On private tours we have done up to 30 in two separate groups going about 30 minutes apart. We have been operating since 2011.
While we offer children tickets, the tour is three hours long and some children have a limited attention span and therefore the tour may not be appropriate for some of them. Parents, who know their children best, should assess the situation individually. Since there is a lot of standing and walking, please consider this when deciding whether the tour is appropriate for your child.
For us parents that would like to take a food tour without our children, is there a babysitting service available?
Yes, we can arrange babysitting with Puerto Vallarta Babysitting (www.puertovallartababysitting.com). Tell them that you are taking a Vallarta Food Tour and you will receive a 15% discount. Puerto Vallarta Babysitting’s US phone is 404-719-4744 and their local phone is 322-182-5046.
Each walking tour lasts between 3 and 3½ hours and is approximately 1.5 miles long. The tours are led at a casual pace with at least 2 stops for sitting. While the pace is casual, we don’t recommend the tour for people with any type of difficulty walking, including walkers, canes and wheelchairs.
All tickets must be purchased in advance on this website or by calling 1-800-838-3006. Tickets can also be purchased with cash at a ticket location or through our representative at your hotel. Send us an email and we will arrange an exact meeting time.?
Absolutely not! We offer an insider’s view into local life. Our knowledgeable local tour guides will open your eyes to the richness of Puerto Vallarta’s history and architecture and satiate your appetite with an unforgettable 3-hour culinary adventure.
Yes, Mexico’s quintessential alcoholic beverage will be available to sample and learn about at one of our locations. This sampling will be served along with some delicious food tastings. As with all of our tastings, you can decide if you would like to partake.
We kindly ask that all tour participants wait until after the tour to do any shopping. Each tour is on a schedule to ensure that each tasting location’s food is freshly prepared when we arrive. Along the route, we will point out some of our favorite shopping and dining spots. We ask you allow time at the end of the tour to return to your favorite locations and/or stores.
